Valuation Services: Gas Leak Causes Business Interruption, Damages and Lost Profits

A natural gas leak in a three story building in Western Colorado destroyed the building and three retail businesses (a furniture store, a sporting goods store and a stained glass store) located on the premises. Although there were no deaths, there were some injuries. The defendant gas and phone companies retained a GHB valuation and litigation specialist as an expert witness to determine the value of the businesses' losses. The jury accepted all of the specialist's valuation conclusions.
