He has extensive experience in all phases of accounting, auditing and tax services, specializing in tax planning for closely-held, family-controlled businesses, including deferred compensation and succession planning. Rex's areas of expertise include professional services such as law firms, title companies and contractors; yet he remains a generalist who brings a business perspective to his clients' tax and audit issues. He helps clients negotiate favorable terms on business matters, such as leases, purchases and sales of businesses—making sure his clients receive good collateral, financial security and the best tax solution. Rex believes that much of his work involves listening to his clients and being a good mediator, especially when clients do not feel comfortable with their financial situations. Clients look to Rex for his consulting skills and his ability to build a bridge of understanding; such as when parents and adult children differ on succession, estate or business planning issues. Rex's ability to create and sustain long-term relationships that build trust has truly earned him the title of "trusted business advisor."
