Tom has extensive experience in many areas of taxation and innovative tax planning for individuals and closely-held businesses, as well as business start-ups, acquisitions and reorganizations. He advises clients on business issues in a variety of industries including professional services, manufacturers, wholesalers/retailers, restaurants, hotels, construction and title companies.

Tom's defining characteristic is that he takes ownership of his engagements, anticipating problems and issues before they arise. Tom takes pride in meticulous attention to detail, is empathetic to his clients' positions, and is able to put himself in his clients' shoes. Tom has an "open door" approach—welcoming and encouraging frequent interaction with clients.

Background

Prior to joining the firm in 1987, Tom was an accountant for a fast-food franchise. He brings that experience to his significant hospitality practice. Tom has been a partner since 1997.
