James E. Rae, CPA
Jim Rae is responsible for the planning and reviewing of audit engagements, and supervising and training audit team members. His areas of focus include low income housing, 401 (k) retirement plans, governmental entities and a variety of nonprofit organizations. However, Jim has experience with a variety of clients, including film/movie development, beverage distribution, health care facilities, cooperatives, automobile dealerships, and financial institutions. Jim also has experience with Yellow Book and single audits.
Jim’s defining characteristic is his ability to understand his clients’ needs, to fashion creative yet practical solutions for their issues, and to add value to the audit process by recognizing and ameliorating client problems.
Background
As Financial Reporting Manager for a local government entity, Jim received the GFOA Reporting Certificate for Excellence in Financial Reporting, and helped his audit clients achieve their certification. Jim’s experience with this entity exposed him to the issues auditees face; and he brings that beneficial knowledge to his clients’ engagements.
